Regisseur Joe Carnahan heeft in een interview met IO9 bevestigd dat er een nieuwe Bad Boys film komt. 15 jaar na het laatste deel komt er dan toch een gevolg: Bad Boys For Life. Carnahan is bekend van onder andere Narc, Smokin’ Aces en The A-Team. De regisseur zegt dat Bad Boys 3 het beste en sterkste script van al deze films heeft. En dat mag ook wel na 15 jaar.

Carnahan zegt het volgende over de nieuwe Bad Boy film:

“There’s a lot of funny shit in this movie and there’s also a very mysterious, but tonally spot-on story that I think is kind of perfect for where we are in this day and age, where the guys are and reflectively, a very modern take on these guys. It’s kind of what becomes of Bad Boys when they’re not boys anymore.”

Meer wil de regisseur ook niet verklappen over de film. We weten dus nog niet hoeveel jaar later deel 3 zich afspeelt. Wel weten we zeker dat het magische duo Will Smith en Martin Lawrence wederom de hoofdrol zullen spelen. Als dat geen feest wordt.
